Sedin’s Leaving Vancouver
Henrik and Daniel Want to Leave
After a streak where the Sedin twins have amassed 41 points with Alex Burrows in just 11 games, the Sedin twins announced this morning that they will not re-sign with vancouver. The Canucks wanted to sign them for 5.5 million each, and they reportedly wanted 6.5 million. Thye have now said that they will play out the season, but not play as well because they don’t want to get injured and hurt their chances at being signed for lots of money during free agency.
When asked why he didn’t want to re-sign with the Canucks, Daniel said “I don’t think we can win here. We can cycle the puck but every time they stick a new forward on our line, our cycle game gets broken up. We need a winger for more than 10 minutes. Burrows is good but he skates too fast for us, and won’t play pass. We want to play for Toronto”
With such a surprise twist this morning, the Canucks have announced they will hold a press conference at 1:00pm PST. It’s rumoured that they will be sending the Sedin’s to Manitoba until the end of the season, and bring up Grabner to replace them both. When Alain Vigneault was asked about the situation during this mornings skate, all he had to say was, “Well we’ll see how the season goes, maybe I’ll go to Toronto too and take Roberto with me, and we’ll all win a cup there!”
